In November, I am hosting an intimate open forum for my clients, family, and friends who would like more information regarding Wills and Trusts, and how they can ultimately affect their family’s estate. An Estate Planning attorney at this seminar will provide straight answers to all the questions, mysteries, and myths you’ve heard about Family trusts and wills and their specific uses.

I am hosting this event because so many of you (yes, readers of this blog/newsletter) have expressed interest in possibly getting a family trust started, but have not yet done so.
Family trusts and wills are one of those things that many people know they should set up, but would rather do anything else than spend the money or time to get it done. Unfortunately there are many cases where complacency has turned a relatively simple plan into a disaster. Waiting another year to implement a plan for your family is gamble many people should not risk.
As a Certified Financial Planner™, I attempt to stay current with IRS guidelines for taxation and treatment on assets that may pass from one generation to the next. Reality dictates that every one of us who has children will most likely be faced with this transition one day.
And since we’re dealing with our own loved ones, wouldn’t it make sense to ensure that your intentions are spelled out so they benefit the most from your planning? The US tax code is only growing more complicated by the day…necessitating proactive measure to ensure you are doing everything possible to “keep” what’s yours within your family. Can you afford ‘not to plan?’
