Medicare Open Enrollment

What starts October 15th and ends on December 7th this year?  If you guessed Medicare Open Enrollment, you’re right!  And to help you (if you or your parents are 65 and older) make a change to a Medicare Advantage plan that is more suited to your needs, I am now available (and educated on the subject) to help facilitate this change.

Over the years, significant changes have made to the Medicare and Medicaid programs that were signed into law in 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson.  In 2003, President George Bush added the Medicare Modernization Act which added outpatient prescription drug benefits (aka Part D).  Additionally, all presidents in office since President Johnson have added to, modified, or had some instrumental part of making the plan what it is today.  And looking forward to 2013 and beyond, it important to compare you current plans with what is now available.

Because there are now more supplemental (Medicare Advantage plans) options than ever before, don’t miss your annual opportunity to select one that is right for you.  Health Insurance is the most important “stop loss” tool in your financial plan, so it’s important to ensure you have the right coverage.  Your window of opportunity runs for 53-days this year: October 15th to December 7th.  I can provide you direct website access to shop all the plans available right from your computer at home.  When you find the right plan, you can apply right there, then!  Of course, if you have any questions about specific plan coverage levels and limits, I welcome you to call my office.  Together, with this new technology available at your fingertips, we can find what you are looking for.

Call me to get your direct access login to shop and find your plan.  The earlier we start the better!
